Thanksgiving Feast
Today we read The Magic School Bus at the First Thanksgiving by Joanna Cole. In this book, Ms. Frizzle’s class makes a meal just like the meal that the Pilgrims ate at the first Thanksgiving. For our math and cognition activity, we did some Thanksgiving counting puzzles. We had to count the Thanksgiving objects and then we found the corresponding number that we counted to. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to cut out our Thanksgiving cornucopia pictures that we colored yesterday. We cut along the dotted lines of the fruits and vegetables for the cornucopia and glued them on. During our sensory and science activity, we played with some putty.
