Sense of Taste

Today we read Here are My Hands by Bill Martin Jr and John Archambault. In this book, we learned about the different parts of our body. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we did a five senses tracing page. We took each of the senses and followed the line to what body part we need to use for each of the senses. Then we used our math and cognition skills to recognize the different shapes on our craft that we made. We traced each shape with glue and then we had help from a teacher to sprinkle good smelling Kool-aid on to the glue. Once it dries we will be able to use our sense of smell to see what scent it is. For our sensory and science activity, we used our sense of smell to pretend to smell flowers. We used a toy bouquet of flowers to see what different scents the flowers smell like.
