“Once you learn to read, you will forever be free.”- Frederick Douglass

This morning, we read the book Shiver Me Letters: A Pirate ABC written by June Sobel and illustrated by Henry Cole. During music and movement time, we had a challenging obstacle course to navigate. The balance beams and summersaults were our favorite part! Next, during our math and cognition lesson, we made our name with plastic letters and stamp pads. We had to count the number of letters in our names and we had to identify the corresponding number! Then, for our science and sensory lesson, we used stamps to make some 3 letter words. Lastly, for our fine motor and literacy lesson, we listened to a book on tape.
