‘L’ is for Letter!

This morning, we read the book Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom written by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault, illustrated by Lois Ehlert. During music and movement time, we played with large and small parachutes! We put some bean bags and a beach ball in the middle and watched how high we were able to get them in the air. We also, played a game of beach ball volleyball. Next, during our math and cognition lesson, we matched beginning sounds together. Then, for our science and sensory lesson, we made letters float in water! We did this by writing a letter on the back of a metal spoon, and then carefully lowered it into the water. Like magic the letter floated off the spoon and float in the water. Lastly, for our fine motor and literacy lesson, we make secret letter paintings, using white paper, a white crayon, and water colors.
