Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
This morning, we read the book How to Catch a Leprechaun written by Adam Wallace and illustrated by Andy Elkerton. During our music and movement time, we had an Irish dancing lesson. Ms. Andrea used to be an Irish dancer and she taught us a few steps and we were able to try on her old Irish dancing costume! Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we used ideas from our morning book to make a Leprechaun Trap. We used our smelly shoes, gold glitter, and shamrocks for our trap. Unfortunately, that Leprechaun is tricky and we did not catch him but he did leave us a treat! Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we dot painted shamrocks, rainbows, and pots of gold. Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we listened to a book on tape and set our trap.
