“S” is for Shamrock!

This morning, we read the book There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover written by Lucille Colandro and illustrated by Jared Lee. During our music and movement time, we navigated an obstacle course. Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we sorted shamrocks by size. Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we made an exploding rainbow! We did this by drawing a rainbow on a sandwich baggie, then we put baking soda in a paper towel and folded it up and put it in the bag. Next, we added glitter and food coloring and finally we added vinegar to the bag and sealed it up fast! The chemical reaction caused the bag to inflate and pop. For our literacy and fine motor lesson, we used green peppers to make a shamrock stamping picture.
