Fireworks
Today we read Fourth of July Fireworks by Patrick Merrick. In this book, we learned why celebrating this holiday is important. During our sensory and science activity, we made a firework painting with our hand. We helped each of our friends paint one of their hands and then we painted the rest of the firework with our paintbrush. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to listen to a book on tape about the 4th of July. For our math and cognition activity, we counted on some 4th of July counting clip cards. We counted each card and recognized the number that we counted.
