4th of July

This week we are celebrating the 4th of July since it is this upcoming weekend. Today we read The Night Before the Fourth of July by Natasha Wing. In this book, we learned that we celebrate this holiday with our friends and family as we watch fireworks and eat yummy hot dogs. For our sensory and science activity, we made a Fourth of July craft. We made our craft by coloring our flag and some fireworks with the colors red, white, and blue. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice writing our names. Our teachers helped us by writing hand over hand and helping us spell our names. During our math and cognition activity, we sorted different patriotic things by size.
