Firefighters
Today we read Clothesline Clues to Jobs People Do by Kathryn Heling. While we read this book, we had to use the pictures to guess what each community helper wears each day to their job. For our math and cognition activity, we recognized different shapes that were on the side of fire trucks. We looked at each shape and recognized it before we drew the shape on a white board. Then we used our sensory and science skills to look into our community helper sensory bin. Our sensory bin had a bunch of community helpers that we named and some of the things community helpers use to do their jobs with. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we traced over different lines so that the firefighters can put out each of the fires.
