Feathers

Today we read Busy Squirrels by Melvin and Gilda Berger. In this book, we learned that squirrels like to climb up trees and gather nuts from different types of trees. During our first activity, we used our math and cognition skills to count some counting clip cards. Our counting clip cards had to do with how recycling helps the birds, trees, and nature to stay clean. For our fine motor activity, we used scissors to cut a piece of paper into a bird feather. Then we used our sensory and science skills to look into our bird and tree sensory bin that had leaves, pinecones, and bird feathers in it.
