Trees

Happy Wednesday! Today we read The Cat and the Bird in the Hat by Norman Bridwell. In this book, a bird found its way in the cat’s hat which the cat didn’t like at first but they ended up being friends and the bird ended up making a nest in the hat. During our sensory and science activity, we worked with a friend to decorate a tree together. Then we used our math and cognition skills to recognize the different shapes that trees can be as they grow taller and taller. We learned that some trees can look more like a circle while other trees may look like triangles. For our literacy and fine motor activity, we did a B is for bird tracing page where we traced the letters and the bird.
