This week we are learning about space! Today we read My Book of Planets by Elise See Tai. In this book, we learned the names of the different planets in our solar system and the order that they go in. For our literacy and fine motor activity, we made rocket ships out of building blocks. Each rocket ship had a certain letter that we recognized at the bottom of the rocket ship. Then we used our math and cognition skills to talk about the different colored planets that were in the solar system. We used little balls as the different colored planets. During our sensory and science activity, we made a rocket ship craft. We used some glue to build our rocket ship with many different scrap pieces of paper. We talked about how we would see stars and the moon up in space as an astronaut.
