Planets

Today we read Planets Around the Sun by Seymour Simon. In this book, we learned more about the planets in the solar system and how some of them are super hot and some are really cold like an ice cube. During our first activity, we used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice writing our names. Our teachers helped us if we needed it and we recognized each letter in our names. Then we used our math and cognition skills to count some space related objects. We counted planets, astronauts, stars, and rocket ships. For our sensory and science activity, we made a star painting. We took blue paper and star cookie cutters to stamp into the paint and then onto our papers to make a starry night.
