S’mores

Today we read Llama Llama Learns to Swim by Anna Dewdney. While reading this book, we talked about how it is important to learn to swim before going to the lake or river to camp. We also talked about how we needed to be with a grown up as we swam as well. For our sensory and science activity, we played in our outside sensory bin. Our sensory bin had sand and sand toys to pretend that we were on a beach next to a lake or river as we camped. Then we used our math and cognition skills to recognize different shapes. Our teachers helped us draw each shape and we said the name of the shapes. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we got to pick which coloring sheet we wanted to color. We had a choice between a camping scene or a tracing page.
