Eric Carle
Happy Monday! We are learning about the author Eric Carle and his books that he writes. Today we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. In this book, a tiny caterpillar becomes very hungry and eats a bunch of different foods making him grow bigger so he can turn into a beautiful butterfly. For our sensory and science activity, we drew and talked about the different animals that can be seen in the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear. Then we used our math and cognition skills to do a Eric Carle matching game. We matched the correct numbers up using clothespins. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we made a hungry caterpillar craft using glue and paper circles. We also practiced writing our names on our caterpillars.

CLC will be closed this Friday, June 17th for our 5K Night Glow Run/Walk. Our event starts at 6:15pm with activities and then the race starts at 8pm.
