Flying Turkey
Today we read the book The Great Turkey Race by Steve Metzger. This book was about three turkeys who were determined to be picked as the Thanksgiving turkey. The competition they had set up was almost complete when they figured out what being the Thanksgiving turkey meant, so they ended up running far far away. For our math and cognition activity we matched shapes to the correct turkey tails. For science and sensory time we created a turkey rocket out of a ballon and feathers. Lastly, for fine motor and literacy time we did letter creation with the letter t and feathers.
