“S” is for Shark!
This morning, we read the book I’m a Shark written by Bob Shea. During our music and movement time, we played with balloons! Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we matched pictures of sharks together. Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we learned how gills on a shark work! We did this by using a coffee filter, to represent a shark’s gills, and we added a little colored sand to a pitcher of water, the sand represents oxygen in the water. Then we poured the water on the “gills” and we watched as the “gills” caught all the sand or “oxygen” and let the rest of the water pass through. Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we made sharks for our letter of the week creation!
