Parts of a Flower

Today we read Dandelions: Stars in the Grass by Mia Posada. In this book, we learned that the seeds of a dandelion get swept away by the wind. For our sensory and science activity, we did an experiment that allowed us to make flowers. Our teachers folded a coffee filter and gave it to each of our friends for us to color. Then they dipped it in water to make the color spread. During our math and cognition activity, we matched the top of a seed packet to the correct other half of the packet. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills, to make a letter ‘G’ creation with green tissue paper.
