Owls

Today we read While You Were Sleeping by John Butler. In this book, we learned all about what different animals in the forest do while we are in bed sleeping. For our sensory and science activity, we made owl handprint paintings for our forest. Our teachers helped us paint our hand brown so that we could place it on the paper and we got to paint our trees for our owls to sit on. We also put the owl’s eyes and beak on with some glue. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to listen to a book on tape. We listened to a story about the different animals that we can see in the forest. During our math and cognition activity, we did a forest animal counting clip cards. We counted the animals then we used the clothespins to choose the correct.
