Our Neighborhood Heroes!

This morning, we read the book People Who Help Us: Police Officer  written by Amanda Askew and illustrated Andrew Crowson.  We had special visitors again today! The Camdenton County Police came to see us; they showed us all the equipment they use to help people. Then we went outside and we were able to get inside the police car. The sirens were loud! During our music and movement time, we went outside to play on the playground! Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we put together puzzles with community helper and talked about the job they do. Next, for our science and sensory lesson we used playdough to make badges and other items used by our community helpers! Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we practiced our cutting skills!
