My Body

Did you know we have 206 bones in our body? This week we are learning about the human body. Today we read the book You Can’t See Your Bones with Binoculars by Harriet Ziefert. This book went in depth about how each bone is connected in our bodies, and what those bones help us to be able to do. For our math and cognition activity we used all kinds of different shapes to match together what our bodies look like. For science and sensory time we created lungs out of paper bags, straws, and tape. We blew into the straw to show how lungs open and close with each breath we take. Lastly, for fine motor and literacy we did letter creation. This weeks letter was X.
