Little Learners Meet Big Helpers!
This morning, we read the book Going to the Firehouse written by Mercer Mayer. During our music and movement time, we had a special visit from Mid-County Fire Protection! The firefighters talked to us about fire safety and we were able to go see in the firetruck and the tools that they use to help people in an emergency! Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we sorted pictures based on community helper jobs. Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we watercolored a firetruck. Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we listened to a book on tape!
