Librarians are community helpers!

Today we read the book If I Could Drive a Fire Truck! written by Michael Teitelbaum and illustrated by Uldis Klavins and Jeff Walker. During our music and movement time, we played with balloons! We bounced them on our heads, elbows, and knees and we also tried to walk with the balloons between our knees! Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we worked on our one to one correspondence by counting different vehicles that community helpers use and matched that number with a clothespin. Next, during our science and sensory lesson, we used watercolors to paint a linemen’s truck. Finally, for our fine motor and literacy lesson, we listened to a book on tape and we worked on beginning sounds.
