Let’s go to the Thumbkin patch

Happy Tuesday! This week we’re learning about pumpkins! Today we had another visit from Ms. Sherri and she came to teach us that milk and other dairy products keep our bodies healthy and strong. We also learned that we can drink milk from other animals like goats! We read the book I Like Pumpkins by Jerry Smath. During our math and cognition lesson, we practiced one to one correspondence with the numbers one to ten. Then, during our science and sensory lesson, we made cute little “Thumbkin” patches by using our thumbs to make the pumpkins. Finally, for our fine motor and literacy lesson, we listened to a book on tape while we practiced writing our names!
