“L” is for Light

This morning, we read the book How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas written and illustrated by Jane Yolen and Mark Teague. During our music and movement time, we had so much fun playing in the water and with bubbles! Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we worked on 1 to 1 correspondence using Christmas Lights. Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we put skittles around a plate, poured warm water on the plate, and watched as the skittles made a beautiful rainbow. Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we colored on foil, sprayed the foil with a little water and place our cutout of a light on the foil. When we lifted the foil off the paper the colors had transferred to the paper!
