Health & Hygiene

This week we are learning how to take care of our health and hygiene. Today we read Wash Your Fins, Baby Shark written by John Bajet. In this book, Baby Shark teaches us the steps to wash our hands and how well we should get them all clean. During our first activity, we used our math and cognition skills to color by number. This activity page made us recognize each color and the number that went along with that color. For our sensory and science activity, we made a tooth using some white paint and our hand to make a handprint tooth. Our teachers taught us that our roots look like our fingers but just hidden in our gums and that if we brush our teeth then our teeth will be happy. Then we used our fine motor skills to squeeze colored water up into our pipets and spray them all over our paper that had a hand on it. Our teachers taught us that our germs when we sneeze and cough can spread all over the place leaving our hands dirty.
