“G” is for Germs!

Today we read the book The Night Before the Tooth fairy written by Natasha Wing and illustrated by Jonathan Newman. During our music and movement time, we sang songs and practiced some finger plays. Then, during our math and cognition lesson, sorted bones by size. Next, during our science and sensory lesson, we put a small amount of water in a dish, sprinkled pepper on the surface, then we dropped 1 drop of soap into the dish. All of the pepper cleared away! We talked about why using soap is a very important part of keeping the germs away and our bodies clean. Finally, for our fine motor and literacy lesson, we made “germ” blow paintings!
