Monsters’ Eyes

Happy Monday! Today we read the book Monsters vs. Kittens by Dani Jones and Stan Lee. In this book, the monster and kitten are opposites in some ways such as: the monster is big and the kitten little, the monster is messy and the kitten is clean. The pair also has things that are alike such as enjoying sunning themselves and both being warm and cuddly. Even though they have differences they are friends. For our math and cognition activity, we rolled to add eyes to monsters using googly eyes making some of the monsters have up to 20 eyes. For our sensory and science activity, we weaved over and under (opposites) black construction paper with a white paper plate (opposites black/white) to make a monster. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we practiced writing our names.
