Frogs, Bugs, and Boas, Oh My!

Thankful Thursday! Today we read the book Red-Eyed Tree Frog by Joy Cowley. This book is about a day in the life of one little red-eyed tree frog in the rainforest. He wakes up as the sun is going down and is very hungry. He sees an iguana, an ant, and a caterpillar, but does not eat them. He jumps away from a boa snake and eventually finds a moth to eat and then goes to sleep happy as the sun comes up. During our math and cognition activity, we identified different patterns in nature and practiced drawing patterns on a snake. For our sensory and science activity, we made shapes using playdough to match our playdough mats. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we practiced cutting playdough.
