Friends and Feelings

Happy Thursday everyone! Today we read Biscuit Finds a Friend. In the book, we saw how Biscuit was a good and helpful friend when he met his new friend the baby duck. After we read the book, our teachers asked us how we can be good friends and ask what is wrong to try and change their emotion from sad to happy. During our math and cognition activity, we did a emotion matching page. On our matching page, we took one emotion and looked at it really had to figure out the matching one. Then we used our sensory and science skills to make a science experiment called elephant toothpaste. We started off with hydrogen peroxide, food coloring, and dish soap in a plastic bottle then we mixed warm water and yeast together in a separate bowl before pouring into the bottle to watch the reaction happen. For our literacy and fine motor activity, we practiced our cutting skills by cutting on the lines that were on the paper.
