Firetruck Visit

Today we had a special visit from the fire station. They came and talked to us about fire safety. One of the firefighters read the book Little Critter: Going to the Firehouse by Mercer Mayer. In this book, we got to learn about all of the cool things that fire stations have to put out fires. We got to see how a firefighter puts on their special gear to stay super safe. They have big heavy boots, thick pants, a big coat, their helmet for their head, and gloves to protect their hands from the fire. We also got to go outside to visit the big firetruck. Each of our friends got a chance to climb up into the truck and sit in the seats. We had so much fun learning about fire safety.
