Community Helpers
Today we read Career Day by Anne Rockwell. While reading this book, we learned about the different people that help our community. For our sensory and science activity, we made tissue paper fires. We ripped red, orange, and yellow tissue paper to glue it onto our fire outlines. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice writing our names. We took our time to slowly spell it out and write it on our papers. During our math and cognition activity, we did some fire truck counting puzzles. We had to count the number of fire trucks and find the correct number that we counted.
