Celebation

Happy Friday! Today we read Fourth of July Mice by Bethany Roberts and illustrated by Doug Cushman. This book is about mice celebrating the Fourth of July by swimming, playing games, marching in a parade, and ending the evening watching a firework show. For our sensory and science activity, we played in our water sensory bin outside. As we played we talked about the different things that we can do for the Fourth of July and what we all planned to do on our break. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to trace lines to get from one star to another. During our math and cognition activity, we did a Fourth of July shape recognition. We matched a white shape to the correct shape that had a flag on it.
