Apples

It’s a new week and that means we get another fun theme to learn about. This week we are going to learn all about apples. We read the book Apples by Melvin and Gilda Berger. In this book, we learned that apples grow on tall trees and that they can be red, green, or yellow. During our sensory and science activity, we made an apple tree craft. We glued on the brown tree trunk, then the green tree top, and the little apples onto the tree top. Then we used our math and cognition skills to count apples in a basket. We used a stamp pad to dip our finger into to be the little apples that go in our baskets. For our literacy and fine motor skills, we practiced writing our names. We wrote our names on both of our other two activities.
