An Apple-Filled Day of Learning
This morning, we read the book I Am an Apple written by Jean Marzollo and illustrated by Judith Moffatt. During our music and movement time, we played on the playground to beat the heat. Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we worked on 1 to 1 correspondence by making apple trees. We did this by talking about how old we are and adding the same number of apples as that number. Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we drew apple trees! Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we strengthened our 3-finger grips by using tracing and writing our names.
