A Windy Day

Today we read the book Wind by Marion Dane Bauer and illustrated by John Wallace. This book taught us that wind makes other types of weather such as tornadoes, water spouts, and blizzards and that it is made by cool and warm air trading places. For our sensory and science activity, we finally got a chance to place in our water table. We used plastic cups to make rain by having our teachers pour water into our cups and we watched the water leak from the bottom of a cup just like rain falls from a cloud. Then we used our fine motor skills to cut out our numbers for our math activity. We used our math and cognition skills to find where the missing number goes in our number order and then we glued it on.
