Weather of the day is snow

Happy Monday, everyone. This week we are learning about the weather, and today we read a funny story about how There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Colandro. In the story, we saw how the Lady would swallow snow, a pipe, a hat, and some coals. By the end of the story, we asked what they thought she was making, and then we found out she was making a snowman. After we read the book, we asked everyone where they thought snow came from, and everyone said the sky or the clouds.

For math and cognition, we did a matching weather game. We had to find out how many clouds there were and match them to the number. Then, we used cotton balls to make clouds for science and sensory activity. Then for literacy and fine motor, we practiced writing our names.
