“W” is for Weather

Today we read the book I See Spring written by Charles Ghigna and illustrated by Ag Jatkowska. During our math and cognition lesson, we matched pictures of different types of weather. Next, for our sensory and science lesson, we learned about thunderstorms and how the warm air rises. We did this by mixing cold water that we dyed blue and hot water that we dyed red and when the two are mixed the warm water rises to the top and the cold water will settle to the bottom. Finally, for our fine motor and literacy lesson, we made a rain cloud to celebrate weather week!
