The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Today we read the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar written and illustrated by Eric Carle. During our math and cognition lesson, we matched the correct color phrase from the Eric Carle book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we made letters float on the top of water! We did this by writing letters on the back of a metal spoon with a dry erase marker, then we lowered the spoon into the water slowly and we watched as the letter lifted of the spoon and floated in the water! Finally, during our fine motor and literacy lesson, we painted cardboard egg creates to look like the very Hungry caterpillar!
