Sweet Summertime
Today, we read the book In My Heart: A Book of Feelings written by Jo Witek and illustrated by Christine Roussey. This morning during music and movement time, we practiced our yoga stretches and danced with scarfs. During our math and cognition lesson, we matched shapes and then we used tongs to sort items by color. Next, during our science and sensory lesson, we filled our sensory bin with shaving cream to pretend to make ice cream cones. Finally, for our fine motor and literacy lesson, we used our 3-finger grip to “sew” around different picnic themed items. We also practiced tracing different shapes and lines.
