Stegosaurus

Happy Tuesday! Today, we read the Smallest Stegosaurus by Lynn Sweat and Louis Phillips. The book talks about the smallest stegosaurus who wanted to be big and strong like his parents, but the world to him is scary when he’s so little. He becomes brave by protecting an egg for his parents from another dinosaur. At the end of the book, the egg hatched and he had a baby sister who he protected from the world. First, for our math and cognition activity, we used counted the spots on different dinosaurs before using a clothespin to recognize the correct number that we counted. Then, for our science and sensory activity, we made dinosaur footprints using a dinosaur stamp and a stamp pad. Lastly, for our fine motor and literacy activity, we listened to a book on tape.
