Sandcastles
Today we read Never Take a Shark to the Dentist by Judi Barrett. This book tells us not to do certain things with some animals because an ant might take your picnic food away or taking a centipede shoe shopping because of all of his feet. For our math and cognition activity, we counted some sand balls (pom poms) and placed them into sand buckets. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skill to listen to a book on tape. We listened to the book Clifford Makes a Splash by Quinlan Lee and found how much fun we can have when we go to the beach. During our sensory and science activity, we made a jellyfish painting. We painted the top of the jellyfish and added tentacles to our jellyfish.
