Letters, Letters, Everywhere

We had a fantastic Thursday! Today we read the book The Mixed Up Alphabet by Steve Metzger. In this story we went on an adventure with the alphabet. Z is tired of always being last. He wants to try something new, but when he convinces the rest of the letters to switch up their place in the alphabet nothing goes quite as he planned it to. Eventually all the letters realize that the place they were in was the right place for them. During our math and cognition activity, we made patters with the alphabet. Then during our science and sensory activity, we used cookie cutters to cut out letters in our play dough. Then we used our fine motor and literacy skills to identify what letter our names start with then use scissors to cut it out of paper.
