Our Brain

Today we read When I Get Bigger by Mercer Mayer. While reading this book, we talked about how our bodies grow as we get bigger. For our sensory and science activity, we used playdough mats of a head of a person. We rolled and cut our playdough to make the person’s hair, mouth, ears, eyes, and nose. Then we used our math and cognition skills to make a heartbeat patterns using shiny stones. We lined up the stones on the heartbeat templates. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we practiced our cutting skills. We cut some colorful paper with scissors.
