Ornaments
Today we read Surprise: A book of Christmas Shapes. In this book, we learned about the different shapes some of our presents could be. During our sensory and science activity, we made special handprint ornaments for our families. We painted our hand white and put it onto our one half of our clear ornament then we placed pom poms into our ornament before putting it together to make a full circle. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to listen to a book on tape. We listen to a holiday book about How to Catch a Gingerbread Man by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton. For our math and cognition activity, we recognized different number as we build them. We used interlocking pieces to make our numbers with.
