Making Summer Merry and Bright
This morning, we read the book Corduroy’s Christmas Surprise written by Don Freeman and illustrated by Lisa McCue. During our music and movement time, we stretched our bodies with Christmas yoga and a Danny Go adventure. Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we matched stockings together by color and played the game Close the Box. Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we filled our sensory bin with kinetic sand and made Christmas sand castles! We also used watercolors and painted a Christmas picture. Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we traced lines and wrote our names.

CLC will be closed from Monday, August 17th-Monday, August 24th for our Teacher Work Week. We will be back in session on Tuesday, August 25th for the first day of the 2026-2027 school year
