Leaves are Falling
Today we read Leaves Change Color by Melvin and Gilda Berger. While we read this book, we pretend we were leaves in the fall and that we were playing in the leaves. During our sensory and science activity, we made acorns and leaves using playdough. We used different sized leaf and acorn cutters to cut our playdough. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice cutting paper. We cut paper that was the same colors as the leaves that we saw during the fall time. For our math and cognition activity, we finished different leaf and acorn patterns. We finished our patterns by looking at the different colors and shape of the leaves.
