Ladybugs

Happy Friday! Today we read Ladybug Life Cycle by Justin McCory Martin. In this book, we learned about the life cycle of a ladybug. For our sensory and science activity today, we made bug fossils using therapy putty. We placed out bug on our putty and pushed the bug into the putty before we pulled it out to see the imprint that each bug left behind. Then we used our fine motor skills to trace along some lines so that the bumblebees could make it back to their honey hives. During our math and cognition activity, we counted and recognized how many ladybugs were on each leaf.
