In the Kitchen

It’s Monday and that means we get to learn about a new theme. This week we are learning about being in the kitchen. We read In the Kitchen by Susan Canizares and Betsey Chessen. In this book, we learned all of the different things that can be done in the kitchen like cutting, pouring, mixing, and more. For our sensory and science activity, we took some pretend foods and drew what they looked like. Some of our friends took the foods and traced around them. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice writing our names. Our teacher helped us if we needed the help with writing and spelling. During our math and cognition skills, we took wooded foods and matched them to the correct foods. Each food was cut in half and had a magnet that allowed us to connect them together.
