Having a Whale of a Time
This morning, we read the book Here Comes Ocean written by Meg Fleming and illustrated by Paola Zakimi. During our music and movement time, we built big towers and pretended that they were underwater cities! Then, during our math and cognition lesson, we worked on color recognition by color matching fish. Next, for our science and sensory lesson, we made waves in a jar by adding water, oil, and food dye and shaking it up. We loved watching the two liquids stay separate. Finally, for our literacy and fine motor lesson, we made the letter P into a pufferfish for our letter of the week creation with a spiky ball dipped In paint!
